Give money back

Recording a refund here does not move the money — you do that in your bank. What it does is stop QuoteNod counting money you no longer have, and tell your accounts about it.

  1. Open the job and find the payment you are giving back. Tap Give money back.

  2. Put in the amount — all of it, or part. QuoteNod will not let you give back more than that payment took, however many refunds you spread it across.

  3. Add the date and a reason. The reason goes on the credit note, and it is the thing that makes sense of the entry in April.

What the customer still owes does not change: they paid, and you chose to hand some of it back. If a payment plan was running, it stays as it was — nobody is chased for money they have just been given back.
