Turn on Pay by Bank in Stripe

Last updated

A new Stripe account starts with Pay by Bank switched off. Until you switch it on, your customers can only pay you by card — and card fees have no cap: a £5,000 payment costs you £75.20 by card against £5.00 by bank.

  1. Open Stripe’s payment methods page: dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payment_methods. Sign in with the Stripe account you connected to QuoteNod. (Testing? Use the test-mode page instead.)

  2. Scroll to Pay by Bank in the list of payment methods and press Turn on. If Stripe asks you to confirm or to read its terms for Pay by Bank, do so.

  3. Come back to QuoteNod, open Settings → Getting paid and press I’ve turned it on — check. It should now say Pay by Bank is on ✓. Stripe can take a few minutes — if it still says off, wait a moment and check again.

QuoteNod also notices by itself: when Stripe tells us the setting has changed, your Settings page updates without you pressing anything.
